Microwave Synthesizer Works in Both Single- and Multi-Mode Format

The MultiSYNTH microwave synthesizer gives chemists the flexibility to work in either single-mode format for small sample scale or multimode format for scaling up reactions and running in parallel mode. The vortex agitation feature homogenizes reaction mixtures during synthesis, thus eliminating hot and cold spots and the need for stir bars. The unit can accommodate pressurized reactors with a working volume of 0.2 to 40 mL in a single vial and up to 240 mL (40 mL × 6 vials) in parallel or multimode. The device also incorporates "flash" heating and fast cooling to optimize reaction conditions with precise temperature control via fiber-optic and dual infrared sensors. These features combine to promote reproducibility, purity and high yield in microwave-enhanced synthetic reactions.
