Attritor Grinds Under Low Temperatures

The SDL-30 dry grinding batch Attritor is suited for users producing desiccants (sorbents) for the food, pharmaceutical and electronics industries. This instrument features a special cover with a Teflon shaft seal for grinding under low temperatures. It also includes a vent port for liquid nitrogen, as well as two ports for charging separate ingredients. Featuring a gross tank volume of 52 gallons, the mill is constructed with a 50-HP motor with a variable frequency drive. Installed in a separate enclosure, the controller displays RPM, percent load (torque) KW, amperage, Hz and output voltage. The operator station, mounted on the Attritor, includes start/stop pushbuttons and a speed potentiometer. Additionally, specially configured arms improve milling efficiency. The mills are easy to operate, energy efficient, and up to ten times faster than a traditional ball mill.
