Profile Probe for Portable and Installed Applications
The PR2 profile probe provides a versatile and economical solution for measuring soil moisture profiles. It can be used in both portable and installed applications. With a hand-held readout unit, a single probe takes instant readings at multiple sites. Alternatively, the same probe can be permanently installed for continuous monitoring with a data logger. Users can choose between the PR2/4 that measures at four depths down to 40 cm or the PR2/6 that measures at six depths down to 100 cm. The device can measure soil moisture content in a range of soil types and across a range of nutrient levels, which include saline soil conditions. The probes can be used in access tubes for easy probe insertion and removal. Customized augering equipment is available to help with installation.
