Large-Capacity Hybridization Oven
The Big Shot III hybridization oven is suited to all types of hybridization and incubation applications, including northern blots, southern blots and microarrays. A PID controller provides rapid heating and excellent temperature stability from 10 C to 100 C. A fully programmable digital timer and an adjustable, safety over-temperature cutout enables unattended operation for 99 hours and 59 minutes. Carousel speed control up to 60 rpm in 1-rpm increments offers efficient mixing options. In addition to the standard 35-mm bottle carousel supplied with each unit, accessory carousels are available for 55- and 70-mm bottles for processing larger membranes, for conical and round bottom sample tubes, and for standard or deep-well microplates. Stackable and available with a reversible door, the oven makes optimum use of laboratory bench space. A removable drip pan is also provided for easy cleaning.
