Filters Make HPLC Sample Preparation Three Times Faster

Mini-UniPrep syringe-less filters enable users to prepare samples in one third the time required by other methods and eliminate multiple consumables from the sample preparation process. The preassembled filtration devices feature a 0.4-mL capacity chamber and a plunger that contains the filtration membrane at one end and a preattached septum cap at the other. To filter the sample, the plunger is pressed through the sample in the chamber, which forces the filtrate through the membrane and into the plunger’s reservoir. Ready for analysis, the sample can also be stored within the unit. A locking ring provides an air-tight seal. Offered with the filters, a range of membranes with pore sizes of 0.2 and 0.45 μm help to meet the requirements of most sample preparation applications. The filters can fit in any autosampler that can handle 12- × 32-mm vials.
