Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer
The Model 3034 Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) combines a differential mobility analyzer-based electrostatic classifier with a single-particle-counting condensation particle counter in the same cabinet. This single-box design provides a means for unattended collection, storage, and analysis of long-term size distribution data on a predefined or continuous schedule. The Model 3034 SMPS spectrometer is an important tool for research into the adverse health effects of ultrafine particles. It measures particles in the range from 10 to 500 nm. Uses include environmental monitoring, pollution studies, or other applications involving the measurement of submicrometer aerosols.
