Compact, Lightweight, Portable Helium Leak Detector

Using helium as a tracer gas, the compact PHD-4 portable helium detector provides high sensitivity and selectivity to accurately pinpoint small leaks in objects where a slight helium pressure has been introduced. The ergonomically designed detector weighs only 2.6 kg and measures <170.4-mm wide × 136-mm high × 290-mm deep. It can connect to a facility’s main power source or use a built-in replaceable battery, making it completely portable to perform on-site leak detection in difficult field locations. The superior helium sensitivity of 2 ppm can be adjusted as required to minimize test costs and helium consumption. The detector checks the integrity of a range of vessels, including pharmaceutical bioreactors, and heat exchangers and steam condensation lines. In addition, leaks are detected in objects buried underground, such as pipes and storage tanks, and gas distribution lines.
