Silica-Based Polar-Embedded HPLC Columns
The Acclaim PolarAdvantage II (Acclaim PA2) adds to its family of polar-embedded HPLC columns. The high-efficiency silica-based instrument is manufactured by bonding a special proprietary amide-embedded ligand to 3- or 5-μm diameter high-purity spherical silica. It is compatible with 100% aqueous environments over a pH range of 1.5 to 10 and exhibits good column lifetime at both low and high pH. In addition, its high polarity provides selectivity complementary to conventional C18 columns, while offering good peak shapes and efficiencies for both basic and acidic compounds. The versatile instrument separates a variety of analytes in matrices ranging from pharmaceutical, environmental and chemical samples to food and life science applications. All columns are manufactured to stringent specifications to ensure column-to-column reproducibility. They are individually tested for capacity and efficiency, and closely monitored for metal contamination. The columns are shipped in two particle sizes and five configurations.
