Y-Pattern Valve Field Proven to Five Million Cycles
The Type 2000 2/2-Way Y-Pattern Valve (OD tube end/US Tri-Clamp) is a high flow rate valve that serves as a reliable, effective alternative to ball valves. Compared to ball valves carrying 3A certification, this valve is easier to clean and maintain. As the valve is field proven to at least 5 million cycles, it provides 3× to 5× the cycle life of ball valves. Incorporating a 316-stainless steel body, the externally piloted valve employs a single- or double–acting piston actuator made of PA or PPS. Self–adjusting packing glands (PTFE) allow for high stem–sealing integrity. The waterhammer–free valve handles steam up to 150 psi, and neutral gases and liquids up to 230 psi. Fluid temperature ranges from 14 F to 365 F. The maintenance–free valve can be retrofitted with a complete range of accessories for position indication, stroke limitation and manual override. A variety of continuous control heads, on/off control heads, banjo valves, NAMUR valves, remote process control systems and I/O boxes also are available for use with the valve. The valve has achieved 3A Sanitary Standards certification, which assures dairy and food processing industries that it meets the highest sanitary standards.
