Benchtop Ultracentrifuge Produces Half the Sound Power of Other Models
The Optima MAX-XP benchtop ultracentrifuge delivers run times of up to 150,000 rpm (2500 revolutions per second) and produces half the sound power of other benchtop models. An MLA-150 fixed-angle rotor has a low k-factor for rapid separation of small volume samples such as sub-cellular particles, viruses and proteins. It has redesigned software with ease-of-use enhancements. The user interface is intuitive and customizable with control via a full-color touch screen. Users can switch between RPM and RCF modes and data, including detailed run histories, that can be exported through a USB port. The software supports 21 CFR Part 11, GLP and GMP compliance, and user ID and login features provide lab management tools. The device has multiple levels of bio-containment, and it is designed to fit in a standard biosafety hood.
