SPE Cartridge For Ultra Fast Sample Preparation
The strata-X On-line SPE cartridge features a patent-pending, reversed phase polymeric SPE sorbent, which is a polar functionalized styrene-divinylbenzene polymer capable of exhibiting hydrophobic, π-π, dipolar, and hydrogen bonding retention mechanisms. The 25μm particle has a surface area of >800 m/g, resulting in an analyte capacity significantly higher than silica-based sorbents. Advantages of the 20 × 2.0-mm cartridge include simultaneous extraction, concentration, and separation for the rapid analysis of drugs in biological matrices. It can be used either in a stand-alone fashion or in tandem with an analytical column, which is not available with off-line SPE. Total sample clean up and analysis can be accomplished in 1.2 minutes when used in stand-alone fashion, or 3 minutes when used in tandem with an analytical column. On-line permits repeated injections (>200) of plasma samples, which results in a lower cost per sample. The cartridge is also available in 1, 3, 6, and 12 mL syringe-barrel tubes and 96-well plate formats.
