NIR Data Transferable to DA-Based Instruments

Owners of scanning grating NIR instruments can now move to modern diode array technology without losing the value derived from historical spectral data collected on many types of products over several years. The technique allows users to make an easy transition from one instrument platform to another ensuring that investments in databases and calibration development are not lost. In addition to using currently available data, the Diode Array 7200 offers many additional features such as the removal of sample preparation (no grinding), fast 3 second analysis, and removal of operator influence on results (no sample cup packing). The transferability of data has been demonstrated and proven in several studies from customer data, research institutes, and industry partners. Applications tested to date include analysis of grain, feed raw materials and finished feeds.
