Pulse Flame Photometric Detector
Model 5380 Pulse Flame Photometric Detector (PFPD) is optimized for the selective detection of sulfur and phosphorus compounds, as well as 28 specific elements. The instrument offers 10 × detectivity and greater selectivity. Its dual-channel analog output permits simultaneous Sulfur and Phosphorus outputs, Sulfur and Carbon outputs, and any other dual-element output. The self-cleaning design eliminates soot formation and prevents "flameout" caused by water, solvents, etc. The use of gated electronics permits rejection of noise outside of the gate window, which increases the instrument’s detectivity.
