Available Cyanide Flow Injection Analysis

The Flow Solution IV (FS-IV) now performs USEPA-approved Method OIA-1677, the distillation-less method for cyanide analysis. This Available Cyanide by Flow Injection/Ligand Exchange method is a time-saving tool for the environmental, microprocessor, pharmaceutical, plating/metal finishing, photofinishing, chemical, and petrochemical industries. It eliminates potential interferences, increases precision and accuracy, improves laboratory safety, lowers costs, and does away with the need for dangerous reagents such as pyridine and barbituric acid. Using gas diffusion flow injection analysis (GD-FIA) in combination with ligand-exchange technology and amperometric detection, OIA-1677 shortens analysis time by eliminating the distillation steps that contribute to interferences and a lack of accuracy in previous cyanide methods.
