Benchtop Freeze Dry System
The FreeZone Plus 2.5-L cascade freeze dry system has a compact benchtop design to fit laboratory carts and countertops. The collector cools to –84 C for processing samples with low eutectic points. The LCD shows alarm messages as well as system set-up and operating parameters with the option of displaying vacuum in mBar, Pa or Torr, and temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It displays total hours of both refrigeration and vacuum pump operation, including the last time each was serviced. The automatic startup allows one-touch operation to initiate the collector cool-down and vacuum pull-down sequences. The moisture sensor protects the vacuum pump by preventing the freeze dryer to start if moisture is detected in the collector chamber. The vacuum break valve bleeds air into the system when power to the freeze dryer or vacuum pump is shut off to keep oil from back-streaming.
