Basic Vinyl Glove Boxes Double as Isolation Units
The flexible vinyl glove box provides a simple, low-cost, sealed environment that is designed to be purged with any inert gas through the installed ball valve and pressure relief valve. Manufactured from durable PVC, the vinyl material enables superior ergonomics when compared to a rigid glove box. The units have a wide range of applications, but in simplest form the unit can be operated as a purge atmosphere to establish low O2 or dry conditions. How dry and how low the O2 depends on the length of the purge and the gas moisture/O2 content. The units may also be used as isolation units by simply substituting the automatic pressure relief valve for a second manual ball valve. Also, more than 20 additional options, accessories and custom-built units are available.
