Specialized Refrigerators Offer Secure Environment for Chromatography Applications

With many chromatography procedures, the creation of a secure environment is a critical component in the process. The new chromatography refrigerators from Marvel® Scientific answer the critical concerns frequently expressed by laboratory personnel.
Developed with assistance from technicians and researchers, each Marvel Scientific chromatography refrigerator features precise and reliable temperature controls. Work chambers are spacious and flexible with shelving that can be removed or added. Glass doors allow both easy access and visual monitoring and are double pane, tempered glass to prevent condensation.
Access ports on Marvel Scientific chromatography refrigerators make it easy to insert probes or thermocouples without opening the front doors or altering internal temperatures. Larger models have two capped ports and the undercounter model has a single access port.
From Undercounter to Large Capacity
Chromatography refrigerators are available from Marvel Scientific in sizes ranging from 6.1 to 43.0 cu. ft. The model 6CHR (shown) is an undercounter refrigerator that is 34 high × 23 7/8 wide × 24 deep (86 × 61 × 61 centimeters), yet it offers a full 6.1 cu. ft. (173 L) of usable space. The 6CHR is equipped with a reliable microprocessor-based thermostat to maintain precise temperature control. Interior lighting can be switched on and off from an exterior switch without disturbing the environment.
For larger-scale applications, the Marvel Scientific 21CHR and 42CHR (shown) Chromatography Refrigerators provide 21.0 cu. ft. (595 L) and 43.0 cu. ft. (1219 L), respectively, of chamber space. Four shelves span the entire depth of each refrigerator and are adjustable for maximum flexibility. Interior vapor-proof duplex electrical outlets simplify equipment set-up and operation.
Accessories Include Electronic Temperature Monitor
Marvel Scientific units also feature an optional electronic temperature monitor. When the internal temperature rises above the appropriate set point, a beeper comes to life and an LED flashes red. This single probe alarm covers a temperature range from 㫊 to 50 C. Displayable alarm settings are adjustable. If the power fails, the unit slips into battery mode for up to 100 hours, shutting down all circuitry except for the alarms. Model 6CHR offers additional options including castors and a 230 V/50 Hz compressor.
Powerfully Built for Uncompromising Performance
Every Marvel Scientific refrigerator has a lifetime fan motor. The Marvel Scientific chromatography refrigerators feature auto defrost, are Commercial UL and C-UL Listed, and use non-CFC refrigerant.
Marvel Scientific refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines are available around the world through laboratory and scientific product distributors. Many models are available in general purpose, flammable material storage, or hazardous location configurations. Stainless steel interior/exterior and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) models are also available.
