Purge-and-Trap Interface Protects Drinking Water

The OPTIPlex Online Purge-and-Trap Interface eliminates manual and error-prone "grab" sampling by automatically delivering water samples from up to eight separate streams to the Velocity XPT Accelerated Purge-and-Trap Sample Concentrator for VOC analysis. Standard solutions are automatically added to the 5- or 25-mL sample aliquot. Sample scheduling is programmed into a special version of TekLink control software, allowing for unattended sampling and analysis at prearranged times. Control and alarm levels can be preset for continuous unattended protection of water treatment systems. The OPTIPlex also works in conjunction with the AQUATek 70 Vial Autosampler to run continuing calibration checks from vials intermixed with stream samples. Applications include Homeland Defense drinking water protection as well as water treatment facilities monitoring for Trihalomethane generation in the water treatment process.
