HPLC System Prepares Mixed Solvents
The PhasePrep II system documents and prepares solutions and mix solvents for HPLC mobile phases, titrations and extractions. One to eight internal pumps can dispense virtually any solvent at rates up to 500 mL/min, yet the instrument still controls flow down to one drop per second. The internal electronic balance features a capacity of 8.2 kg and a resolution of 0.01 g. Solvent mixtures and solutions can be prepared in volumes from 10 mL to 7 L. An internal, touch-screen, industrial-quality panel PC controls the instrument. The software enables 100 different mixtures and solutions to be preprogrammed and recalled. Methods can be written for solution concentrations expressed as g/g or g/mL, and mixtures can be prepared on a volume percentage or weight percentage basis. Also, all important parameters and methods are password protected for laboratory security.
