Two High-Performance Solutions for Chiral LC Detection

The OR-2090 optical rotation detector (ORD) is for a highly sensitive and universal HPLC detector of chiral compounds. The user can optimize the sensitivity of the detector by being able to set the wavelength of choice to match the optical rotation of the eluting compound. The detector uses a high intensity Hg-Xe light source and allows the user to set the wavelength of analysis from 350 nm to 900 nm. The built-in temperature control provides added stability. For higher sensitivity for chiral detection, the CD-2095 Circular Dichroism (CD) detector is also available. With a similar ease of use and the sensitivity of standard UV detectors, the device allows detection of enantiomers down to the nanogram level. UV absorption-based, the device functions as a chiral detector and also provides a second channel of data corresponding to the UV absorption of the eluted compound. This feature also allows the user to determine %EE, g-factor or fraction collection cutoffs for incompletely resolved peaks. The device is insensitive to gradient elution and is available with high-pressure and preparative flow cells for any type of analysis.
