Ultra-Thin PEEK Film Provides Design Flexibility

Ultra-thin (0.006 mm) amorphous PEEK film combines the high-performance characteristics of PEEK with a film format that allows design flexibility. The polymer’s combination of properties includes high temperature resistance; flexural, tensile and electrical properties; durability and scratch resistance; chemical, abrasion, hydrolysis and radiation resistance; and low flammability. Because of its thermoplastic nature, the easy-to-process film can be thermoformed, laminated without the use of adhesives, and heat-sealed. It also offers space and weight advantages with no loss of mechanical integrity. Applications include flexible PCBs, aircraft interiors, automotive gaskets, helicopter rotor blades, copy machine components and items used in aerospace and radiation environments.
