Modular Supercritical Fluid Instrument
The Helix modular supercritical fluid instrument reaches pressures up to 10,000 psi and is designed for process development in pharmaceuticals, foods, specialty chemicals, flavors, fragrances, and natural products. Special modules integrate into the base unit to reduce the cost of separate complete systems. Although primarily used with carbon dioxide, the Helix employs other gases and is used for subcritical water investigations. Other options include stirrer capability and counter-current extractions.
