Analyzer Measures Trace Amounts of Nitrogen in Argon
Booth 2321. The Series 1200 gas analyzer measures trace amounts of nitrogen in argon. Model 1200-A and model 1200-B cover the analytical ranges of 0-2/0-20 ppm and 0-20/0-200 ppm, respectively. Detection is based on spectral emission of argon plasma. High signal gain and improved noise rejection give the series the guaranteed sensitivity of 10 ppb for nitrogen. The low cost, low maintenance analyzer is rugged and simple to operate. It does not have valves, a carrier gas, or a radioactive source and is maintenance-free. Additional features include online, continuous trending of nitrogen concentration with no need for sample injection or separation columns. Exposure to atmosphere or high impurity concentrations does not result in damage to the analytical cell, and rapid recovery is enhanced by the unique detector design.
