Valveless Piston Pumps Meet Requirements in Liquid Fuel Metering

Proprietary valveless piston pumps are suited for the precision addition of DI water into both liquid and gaseous fuels and the recirculation of the pure water created as a by-product of the reaction into the oxygen source (air). The pumps also meet the requirements in liquid fuel metering (typically Methanol or a Methanol/DI water mix) into the reformer. DI water addition into the steam reformer can also be accomplished with these pumps. Each pump features mechanical stroke volume adjustment and pump speed adjustment via the V300 stroke rate controller, which is integrated into process control devices via a 4- to 20-mA interface. Applications include production fuel cell stacks and steam reformers used for remote and residential installations requiring maintenance-free operation.
