Microcentrifuges Protect Against Biohazards

The Seward Clear-spin 10 K and 12 K microcentrifuges are for safety and convenience when working with biohazardous samples. Low-cost and easily replaceable rotors and disposable tube carriers feature certified hermetic sealing in a clear, chemical- and biohazard-resistant plastic to ensure 100% protection before, during and after processing. The carrier also functions as a storage rack to minimize handling and pellet disturbance. The integrated strobe light allows users to view samples during centrifugation: programming the light to the rotor speed allows a user to watch samples individually. With automatic recognition of up to 1000 rotors, the instrument lets users know when to replace a rotor. Available with 18- and 24-place carriers for standard tubes from 0.25 mL to 1.5 mL, the instrument can spin up to 14,500 × g and provides 3 rotors.
