Modular, Compact Rheometer Series

The Physica MCR rheometer series is a modular range with a configuration to suit various requirements, from quality control and product development to complex R&D tasks. The series’ modular design features the automatic measuring and accessory detection system Toolmaster, the measuring gap detection system TruGap, an extended torque range, a normal force sensor with improved normal force capabilities, and thermal stability of the normal force signal. The series incorporates modern design with a compact, low compliance frame that houses both the mechanical and electronic control components. It provides a selection of measurement geometries, interchangeable environmental systems and special accessories. Applications include the rheological characterization of foods; comparison of the viscosity of beverages; investigation of the storage stability of products; determination of the separation stability of low viscous dispersions, such as milk drinks; viscosity testing during starch gelation (using the SmartStarch configuration); and optimization of the flowability of foods.
