the Time
The 260D is a digital, brushless model with quick acceleration and quiet operation. All parameters, including speed and time, are displayed digitally and accessed via a microprocessor-based keypad. Simple one-touch controls are faster and easier to use than knobs, allowing for momentary spins and the ability to select speed or RCF (g-force). The standard 18- and 24-tube rotors hold 1.5- to 2.0-mL tubes. Smaller tubes can be accommodated with adapters. The 260D accepts new EZ-8 tubes and PCR strip tubes, allowing various preparations and separations to be completed in 1/8th of the time normally required. It generates speeds of up to 14,000 rpm and 16,000 xg.
