IC Automated Sample Preparation Station

Combustion ion chromatography determines halides and sulfur content in hydrocarbons. The AQF-100 is an automated inline combustion system that traps the products liberated during combustion and injects a sample to the IC system. The system allows determination of sub-ppm concentrations, total speciated halides (fluorine, chloride, bromine, and iodine) and total sulfur (as sulfate) with one instrument. Combustion and absorption operations are performed simultaneously, improving measurement quality while reducing time and sample handling costs. An automated boat controller (ABC) injects liquid samples into the furnace automatically, and a fully integrated absorption unit (GA-100) assures sample integrity. Windows-based software enables users to control the combustion process and reports the results of the chromatographic run.
