Combustion Ion Chromatography
technique for petroleum/power industry
Booth 4271. This technique, Combustion Ion Chromatography, is used to determine halides and sulfur content in coal, crude oil, naphtha, alkylates, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and related materials. It is performed using the Mitsubishi AQF 100, an automated in-line combustion system, combined with the GA-100, which is designed to trap the products liberated during combustion and interface with the IC system. A Dionex Ion Chromatography system allows determination of sub-ppm concentrations, total speciated halides (F, Cl, Br, and I) and total sulfur (as sulfate) with one instrument. Software enables the user to control the combustion process and report the results of the chromatographic run.
