Air-Cooled Universal Centrifuges
The air-cooled Z 383 and refrigerated Z 383K are universal centrifuges with high capacity and high speed capabilities. They feature a total maximum capacity of 2000 mL (4 × 500 mL) in the swing out rotor. Inserts for the swing out rotor are available to centrifuge a large quantity of tubes. Five high speed angle rotors allow centrifugation of 0.2 mL to 85 mL tubes at g-forces up to 26,810 × g. A powerful brushless induction drive is extremely quiet and quickly accelerates rotors to their maximum speeds. The hybrid control panel combines easy to set knobs with large digital displays for easy programming. A microprocessor controls all functions, including speed, time, rotor identification and g-force conversion. The program memory allows up to ten settings to be stored for easy recall.
