Glass Columns Support Several Systems
The company offers adjustable height, ready-to-use Omnifit liquid chromatography columns in a modular kit to meet fast changeover and precise control needs. Each kit includes standard and inert end fittings and frit options, as well as timesaving pre-assembled tubing sets. The adjustable column features a plunger-style end piece that minimizes the risk of disturbance to the packed bed. Supplemental M6 end caps are included for quick changeover to an M6 fitting system. For a standard aqueous system, Omnifit borosilicate glass columns, PE fittings, and 25-μm polyethylene fitted frits are supplied. Standard 1/4 28 UNF fittings connect to the colored end cap. For use within a totally inert solvent-resistant system, the user replaces the PE frit end with the alternative PTFE version supplied in the kit to cope with harsh laboratory chemicals. Replacement glass columns and fixed/adjustable end pieces are also available. Accessories include a range of PTFE and polyethylene frits in bore sizes from 3 to 50 mm, column packing sleeves, column jackets for temperature control, and silicone seals.
