Infracal Analyzer Measures TPH in Soil On-Site

The Infracal TOG/TPH Analyzer Model CVH easily handles on-site analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) concentration levels in soil, using S-316 instead of Freon for the extraction process as recently approved by the ASTM. The portable infrared (IR) analyzer quickly determines TPH levels in less than 10 to 15 minutes, including extraction. Concentration as low as 20 ppm to over 5000 ppm can be easily measured. The analyzer helped develop the ASTM Method D 7066-04, which approves the use of dimer/trimer of chlorotrifluoroethylene (S-316) for analysis of recoverable oil and grease and nonpolar material in soil by infrared determination. The analyzer weighs under 5 lbs. and operates from a 12 volt power supply. It is direct reading and microprocessor-controlled with simple pushbutton operation for easy use. Minimal training or knowledge of infrared analytical techniques is required.
