PBDE Metabolites Certified Reference Standards
Over 150 Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) congeners and many commonly studied PBDE metabolites have been synthesized to provide certified reference standards. Product development is ongoing with custom synthesis and custom Standard formulations making additional products available. The two primary categories of PBDE metabolites that are appearing in both controlled laboratory and field samples are Hydroxy and Methoxy derivatives. Researchers found several metabolites more environmentally prevalent than others, and consequently those were the first synthesized.
