Emulsifier for Adjunct/Antigen Mixing in Peanut Oil

The model 330 pump emulsifies Adjuvant 65 for a water-in-oil emulsion containing antigen in peanut oil with Arlacel A and aluminum monostearate as the emulsifying agent. The pump is suitable for creating viscous fluids/suspensions by forcing fluids back and forth through a micro-emulsifying needle. The fatigue and time required to manually prepare emulsions has been eliminated. The pump prepares an adjuvant/antigen mixture to the correct viscosity ready for injection. Through the menu driven program, the user enters the syringe diameter, the flow rate and a dispense volume. When in emulsion mode, the pump cycles continuously from infusion to withdrawal. The unit automatically infuses the preset volume and withdraws the preset volume.
