Hermetically Sealed Containment Isolators

The hermetically sealed, stainless steel containment isolator fully encloses the high-pressure processing area of the proprietary line of Microfluidizer processors, so mixing toxic or potent products is safe. The isolator features negative-pressure HEPA filtration to prevent material from entering the user’s breathing zone. With the special housing unit, users can safely replace these filters without exposure to the trapped toxic particles. The processors utilize pressures up to 40,000 psi to process highly stable, immiscible liquid emulsions or solids in liquid suspensions. Using the highest shear rates available, they uniformly reduce particles and droplets to submicron sizes in their fixed-geometry interaction chambers. At pressures this high, minimizing hazardous product aerosolization is important in order to ensure the safety of the user and environment.
