Mercury Analysis without Sample Preparation

The Hydra-C mercury analyzer features direct analysis using thermal decomposition and amalgamation. The device extends the capabilities of the Hydra Series by permitting the direct analysis of solid and liquid samples by combustion. It addresses the needs of analysts looking to use EPA’s new method 7473 or of those who simply want to determine mercury without prior sample digestion. By directly measuring Hg in solids or liquids, the analyzer eliminates sample digestion. The innovative, high capacity autosampler holds up to 70 samples with easy, on-the-fly sample additions. Typical applications include soil, sediment, coal, plastic and cement analysis.
