Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy
The Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) Moisture Analyzer measures low moisture levels in gaseous hydrochloric acid (HCl). This laser-based technology measures UHP levels of moisture in this corrosive gas with a lowest detection level (LDL) of 1.0 ppb and a 250-ppt sensitivity. By measuring the intensity of the laser before and after absorption by moisture, the user can easily solve for the number of moisture molecules in the sample since all of the other terms in the equation are constant. Due to the capability of the laser to be finely tuned to a moisture peak, HCl does not interfere with the measurement and there is no beam splitting for reference purposes that can result in inaccuracies.
