Custom-Designed Valves Solve Fluid Transfer Dilemma

The designers of a complex DNA analysis instrument were experiencing difficulties in getting the prototype to function properly - this was due to the highly viscous nature of the fluid the instrument needed to handle. The designers required chemically inert valves with sufficient sheer force to cut through the fluid, acting as shut off valves. Solenoid valves were tried but were found to have insufficient force for the exacting application.
After considering several options, the OEM of the instrument turned to Omnifit for help.
