CO2 Saves the Green
Centrifugal fraction collection and simultaneous drying for SFC
by Michael A. Burns
Researchers and scientists understand the inherernt advantages — speed and environmental impact — of purifying small drug-like molecules with supercritical fluid chromatography such as speed and environmental impact. SFC also utilizes carbon dioxide which allows for a much wider optimal flow rate range compared to that of the liquids used in HPLC.
