We all know what improvisation is. The term is usually reserved for comedians: “an improv comic,” and sports stars: “Lebron James improvised in mid-air and made the tough shot.” Adam Mckay, director of Anchorman, Talladega Nights and Step Brothers is an improv comedy icon. His ability to go off the written script and come up with hilarious lines makes his movies memorable. Even people who haven’t seen Anchorman know about Ron Burgundy’s translation of San Diego.

The Quest for a Cure

Chris Rock once said, “The money ain’t in the cure, the money’s in the medicine.” While he laughed, you could see there was a disappointment in his eyes. He didn’t want to have to tell that joke, but comedians are taught to tell jokes about truths. It’s why a quality joke never starts out like, “You know how unicorns are always eating your grass?” Chris rock told the truth in that instance, but I’m also glad to say that the joke might be starting to become outdated.
